Visitors to the Centre

Throughout the year we have a steady stream of visitors to the Centre.

These include story-tellers, indigenous performers, mobile farms, grandparents, older members of society and advisors from the ethnic community, students from various schools and universities and parents from different countries who share aspects of their culture with the children. All these visitors play a vital role in enhancing the children’s knowledge of the wider community.

Blue Card regulations are met.

Students and volunteers participate in the Centre’s programmes. The major goals of the Centre volunteer programme are to encourage community involvement and for the Centre to benefit from additional human resources and skills. All volunteers must satisfy criteria specified in Centre policies and are briefed by the Director.

Staff will advise you of any students or volunteers who are helping in the programme. It is policy that students and volunteers are fully supervised by staff at all times.
