Food Requirements

The Centre does not supply food for the children.

Our food and nutrition policy has been devised to provide and enhance child well-being by promoting and supporting a safe and healthy environment.  We request that foods containing nut products are not brought to the centre.

Please see below a list of acceptable and non-acceptable foods. If children have foods from the non-acceptable list in their morning tea, lunch or afternoon tea it will be sent home with a note.

Rice Cracker biscuits
Fruit – fresh sliced
Cheese
Sliced vegetables
Dried Fruit
Small Homemade muffins
Cheese Sticks   
Yoghurt   
Heatable foods e.g. baked beans

Nido and Infant Community               
Pasta
Mashed vegetables
Mashed avocado
Mashed banana
Small finger food vegetables
Finger sandwiches
Cut up fruit
Jars of baby food
Canned fish

Cake (homemade acceptable only)
Yoghurt coated sultanas
Chocolate biscuits
Chocolate coated sultanas
Le Snak – jam & choc sticks
Chips
Sweet biscuits
Lollies
Cordial
Roll ups
Gatorade
Tiny teddies
Popcorn (any type, choking hazard)
Foods containing high levels of sugar
Foods containing high levels of preservatives
