Mission Statement

Our mission at IMCH is to:

    • foster a community of children, parents and staff which is both caring and nurturing and meets the individual needs of all members

    • support the children in developing their love of learning, curiosity, intelligence, resilience, tolerance and respect towards the world in which they live, and

    • build an awareness of Maria Montessori’s vision for world peace, through our interactions with the wider community.

The House - represents our "Children's House"
The Egg - the dot on the i in IMCH - symbolises a new life.
The Tree - Houses a nest for the eggs. Our babies reside in the Nido which is the Italian word for nest. The Bird - Represents the babies flying from the Nido (nest) and progressing through into the Children's House Community.
